Travel can make you too different for the places that made you. Home becomes not one address but many - a constellation you carry. On learning to belong partially everywhere.
Thank you BK for this, well put and i can totally relate to everything you said. I remember the first time i was flying back home from London, i was so excited to be home and see everyone and that feeling did last for a week. I was already yearning for the London i have now grown to know and love , there is a moment i even felt guilty saying that i miss London. Most of the people i know were constantly talking about investing back home and buying properties in Zim. I wanted to join the bandwagon but along the way i realised that in as much as i love Zim, i also love London and want to build my life here, there was nothing wrong with wanting to invest in London and build a home for myself and family here.
